Green Leaf Kenya

Sowing Seeds of Sustainability!

We turn abandoned sand-mining sites in Kabondo, Rachuonyo East into community-owned farms that grow food, skills, and income.

Volunteer

Give time and skills

The first farms will be built by many hands.

We are a young organization preparing our first pilot, so volunteering with us right now means helping us get ready to launch, and being first in line when work begins on the ground. We will be honest about what is needed and when.

  • Community mobilization.

Helping organize and support community meetings in Kabondo.

  • Skills and expertise.

Agronomy, water systems, surveying, data, design, or communications.

  • Field days, when they come.

Site preparation and installation once the pilot launches.

A note on local volunteering: We are a young organization with no paid roles, and no budget yet for stipends or transport reimbursement. Local volunteering with us is self-driven, we say that plainly here so you can decide with full information, and we will always be honest about what each task involves before you commit.

Volunteer from abroad

When REALI launches, we will welcome a small number of international volunteers to live locally and work alongside the community groups building the first farms. The program will be self-funded: volunteers cover their own travel, accommodation, and meals, and pay a program fee that supports coordination and the community work itself. That model keeps donations in the field, and it is the honest reason we will be able to host you well.

The program opens with the pilot, not before. If you want to be first to know, dates, costs, and what a typical stay looks like, join the interest list through the form below and tell us where you are based.
